Learning Capability Reinforcement Program Operating System
개요

The learning capability reinforcement program, including academic support and extracurricular program for undergraduate students, supports/operates by organizing a module that can provide personalized support based on the level of the learner’s preparedness for the competencies on the basis of POSTECH’s core competencies.

  • The Six Core Competencies of POSTECH: Interpersonal skills, Global citizenship, Pursuit of knowledge, Digital literacy, Self management, Creative convergence capability
  • Record of program participation and performance can be managed through POSTECH e-portfolio system (PAMS)
Module Contents
Basic learning capability reinforcement
  • Although the students’ basic learning capabilities are sufficient, provide various forms of tutoring in order to narrow the gap of academic adjustment for each subject depending on the advance learning level
  • Operate programs in group form of one to many (SMP) and in individual form by choosing online class (online learning tutoring)
  • The academic support program for basic learning capability reinforcement contributes to the improvement of pursuit of knowledge competency out of the core competencies
Learning administration improvement
  • Learning administration is the ability to manage one’s learning process self-directed and to maximize learning effects by applying the learning strategy in actual learning
  • Provide a workshop of topics necessary for learning administration, provide a test and consulting to diagnose one’s learning strategy, group study with peers, operate creator through which one can make and share the contents of what one has learned
  • The academic support system for learning administration improvement contributes to the improvement of the self management competency out of the core competencies
Thinking ability enhancement
  • As one can critically reflect on oneself by writing in multiple perspectives for thinking ability enhancement, operate an essay contest about one’s learning performance
  • Operate reading activities(Book-Reading POSTECHIAN), participation in debates(Reader’s Club), and a program planning contest of various topics in order to help enhance logical and systematic thinking ability
  • The academic support system for thinking ability enhancement contributes to the improvement of the digital literacy competency out of the core competencies
Problem-solving ability improvement
  • Problem-solving ability corresponds to the highest-rank module
  • Contribute to enhancement of the creative convergence capability by operating the Undergraduate Group Research Program through which recognizing a problem in the autonomously knowledge-applicable field, setting up a research problem for solution, proceeding the research, and producing an outcome
  • The research program contributes to the enhancement of interpersonal skills through cooperation and collaboration within the group and with other departments by conducting research in the form of a team
